Privacy Policy

For ReloadScope

Last Updated: December 28, 2025

Overview

ReloadScope is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how our Chrome extension handles data.

Data Collection

ReloadScope captures HTTP/API network request data including:

Request URLs
Request and response headers
Request and response bodies
Request timing information

Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device. ReloadScope uses Chrome's local storage API to save:
- Your tracking preferences (which domains you've enabled tracking for)
- Captured API request session data

Data Transmission

ReloadScope does NOT transmit any data to external servers. We do not collect, share, sell, or transmit any of your data. Everything stays on your local device.

Third-Party Access

ReloadScope does not share data with any third parties. We have no access to your data.

Analytics and Tracking

ReloadScope does not use any analytics, tracking, or telemetry services. We do not monitor your usage of the extension.

Permissions Explained

debugger: Required to intercept and display network requests in real-time
storage: Used to save your preferences and session data locally on your device
tabs: Required to track which tab made which request
webNavigation: Required to detect page reloads and organize requests into sessions
host_permissions (<all_urls>): Allows monitoring of any website you choose to track (you control this via the toggle)

User Control

You have full control over:
- Which websites ReloadScope monitors (toggle on/off per domain)
- Your captured data (can be cleared at any time by clearing Chrome's local storage)
- Uninstalling the extension removes all stored data

Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted externally, your data security depends on your device's security. We recommend keeping your device secure with appropriate security measures.

Children's Privacy

ReloadScope is a developer tool and is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.

Open Source

ReloadScope is transparent about its data handling. You can review the source code to verify our privacy practices.
